FAQ

Questions, answered.

If your question is not here, a demo is the quickest way to get a precise answer for your setting.

  • How is this different from cost-per-pupil or staffing-ratio dashboards?

Those tell you what you spend. SEND.school shows how well that support is used: whether delivered hours reach the highest-need pupils, how much of documented need is met, and whether support is moving pupils forward. It turns spend into evidence of impact.

  • Who is SEND.school for?

SENCos and inclusion leads, school business leaders, and trust executives. School-level views support day-to-day deployment decisions, and trust-level views roll the same signals up for governors and trustees.

  • What do we need to provide, and what do we get?

You bring your SEND register, staffing and support allocations, and outcomes against One Plan targets. SEND.school turns them into the SEND Efficiency Index and its five contributing signals, school and trust dashboards, and exportable evidence for governors and inspectors.

  • Can we export evidence for governors and inspectors?

Yes. Pupil, staffing, deployment and finance views can be exported to CSV and PDF, so the picture you see is the picture you can hand to governors, trustees and inspectors.

  • Can we model staffing scenarios before we commit?

Yes. You can compare staffing scenarios and see budgeted against deployed cost, so planning and recruitment are strategic rather than reactive.

  • Is our pupil data secure?

Pupil data is sensitive and is treated that way. We will share full data-handling and security details as part of a demo and onboarding.

  • Does it connect to our MIS?

Today you enter and manage your register, staffing and outcomes directly in SEND.school. If MIS connectivity matters to your trust, tell us during a demo so we can factor it into our roadmap.

  • How much staff time does it take to adopt?

It is built around data schools already hold, the register, staffing and One Plan outcomes. A demo is the quickest way to see how it works and what setup would look like for your setting.
